Difference between Automatic & Manual Cars

No doubt that everyone loves cars!

Let’s talk about both manual and automatic cars and decide which one is better. You can decide according to your needs and (budget of course) which would suit you the best.

The drivers who choose to be more intricate into the inner working of the car, manual cars are definitely your thing. Let’s talk about some of the benefits of manual cars first.

Advantages of Manual Cars

Budget-friendly

If you want a car that’s more budget-friendly and will not cause your pocket to be completely empty, this is your thing! Manual cars are a thousand dollar less than the automatic ones and sometimes of the same model.

Amazing fuel efficiency

Believe it or not, manual cars have saved several drivers between 5 to 15 percent of the fuel costs. You can travel more kilometers in distance without petrol you pump than in automatic because of the less complexity and weight of the engines in the manual car.

Easy and cheap to maintain

In my personal life, I have seen that cheaper cars maintain for a longer time as compared to the automatic ones. The repair cost of the manual cost is much less than the automatic ones, they require very little preservation.

Finer control

This part is my favorite and that, manual cars give drivers much control over the vehicle as compared to automatic ones. This is the biggest truth. So what happens is that gear in an automatic car is purposely designed to respond to the certain condition which doesn’t allow the driver to foresee or predict an incoming situation or select a lower gear saving engine power in a lot of situations.

However, despite all these advantages, a lot of drivers especially youngsters love to drive an automatic one and no doubt this has its own advantages too.

Advantages of Automatic Cars

Easy and simple to drive

Although it’s not that tough to control gears and learn how to function clutches and all that, still a lot of people find it a little complex and time consuming to learn to control the little complexities of the annual cars. In automatic cars, there are no such complexities as clutch and gear and thus give the driverless tough time to learn and use.

Best for hilly areas

Automatic cars drive efficiently no matter how steep or dangerous the hill is. A lot of people find it difficult to drive with manual cars in hilly areas and if you are among them, you may love automatic cars.

Better for stop-start traffic

In highly populated and developed cities especially, automatic cars are best to use because of the fact that drivers will feel way more comfortable and easy because the change between the gears is even and smooth.

Clutch & gear free

The only difference at the end of the day is that automatic cars don’t have a clutch pedal and the gear is automatic as well so you won’t have to fall into learning how to use the clutch and change the gear according to the situation.
