Basically, electric cars are an alternative to fuel automobile. It uses electric motors instead of internal combustion engines. That means electricity can be used to fuel power battery vehicles and fueling with electricity itself provides a lot of advantages. Electric cars are very responsive due to the electric motors that react very quickly.
Let’s dive into some of the advantages of Electric vehicles.
1. NO PETROL FUSS ANYMORE!
Isn’t it just amazing? Like, imagine not going to the petrol station every other day for your car! All you have to do is plug in your car and let it charge just like charging your mobile phone.
2. Cheap to maintain
As compared to fuel automobile that has numerous moving parts such a starter motor, radiators, etc, there are very little moving parts in electric vehicles. This means fewer problems and hence less servicing. There are only about three main parts in an electric car, inverter, onboard charger, and motor and only these parts would need servicing which is way simpler than the petrol /diesel cars. Also compared to diesel or petrol, electricity is cheap which means a pure electric car would cost less than a third of what a Petro/diesel car would cost per mile.
3. Environment friendly
These vehicles don’t emit greenhouse gases that damage or harm the environment in fact they are clean and quiet which also means less noise pollution. Electric cars have no exhaust emissions at all and the materials used in electric vehicles are eco-friendly.
Electric vehicles have this amazing torque due to the electric motors in them that respond instantaneously. This means when you press the accelerator it’s going to offer you a smooth acceleration thus giving an amazing experience of driving. Electric cars are very much capable of offering you a smooth drive over very long distances but of course at high acceleration.
in case you have an accident, EVs will save you. Airbags open up and electricity is quickly cut off thus saving you from any serious damage or injury.
6. It’s becoming cost-effective
EVs at the start used to be crazy expensive but over the years the cost has gone down due to technological advancements and will continue to go down. Also, electricity is cheaper than petroleum.
Hence considering all these advantages not only will you be removing your carbon footprint but also helping boost economy but of course this doesn’t necessarily have to mean that the petrol/diesel cars are not worth your time or money. Both kinds of cars have their own pros and cons and you may choose whatever suits you at the end of the day!
